    * RL Name: Tyler

    * How old are you?: 18

    * Character Name: Hemicus

    * Current Realm (For transfers only):

    * Class: Priest

    * Level: 80

    * Spec: Shadow (13/0/58)

    * What glyphs do you use for your main spec, what is your reasoning:

I use ‘Glyph of Mind Flay,’ ‘Glyph of Shadow,’ and ‘Glyph of Dispersion’ as my three major glyphs.  Mind flay and shadow are the only two glyphs that really increase dps at all for a shadow priest. Shadow causes your non-periodical crits to increase your sp by 30% of your spirit and mind flay causes your mind flay to deal 10% increased damage when the target is afflicted by shadow word: pain. The third glyph basically just gives me a shorter cool down on my ‘oh shit’ button which comes in handy for getting mana back on certain fights where I have to move a lot or may take large amounts of damage.w

    * Do you have dual-spec? If so, what is it?:

Yes, I do have dual spec.  I am currently dual specced as holy, which was since the start of this expansion till about mid ToC my main spec, and the only spec I ever really enjoyed playing till shadow was buffed.

    * If you have a dual-spec are you proficient enough with your other spec to use it in a raid setting?:

Like I said I had healed for quite a while as holy, so I was decent at it, but at this point most of my gear for that offspec is a mix of anything from 245 25 ToC stuff to a few pieces of normal and heroic icc 10, so it’s not quite up to par for current content right now.

    * List the name(s) of your current/past alts:

I have a ret/holy pally Adicia, whom I leveled up after my priest and pretty much hate playing at this point.  I am currently leveling up an ele shaman, however slow that might be… but as for serious alts, I have none. My priest has been my focus since I started playing during early WotLK.

    * List your previous guilds and why you left:

I came from relatively successful guild, Late Night Raiders, on the Sentinels RP server, we farmed 10/25naxx, but as ulduar neared the guild began to fall apart. I then server transferred here and joined Boomstick Syndicate where I was playing with a few RL friends, which was pretty cool.  As time went on though, they began to play less and less.  After feeling unfulfilled running 10man icc week after week we decided to try and expand the guild to a 25man raiding guild to finish up the expansion. That pretty much backfired and we ended up wasting a lot of time pugging raids and only ever getting fester/rot after many weeks of wipes. Due to the lack of success and loss of RL friends in the raids, I decided to look for a better 25m guild. I ended up in Abyss, my current guild, which was pretty solid at first. We were blowing through normals and took only a few weeks to down LK. Heroic progress seemed to go well also, but after downing VDW heroic, making 8/12,  that pretty much came to a screeching halt due to many raiders disappearing and hardly being able to fill raids.

    * Why Plaguechill?:

Plaguechill has pretty much always been top since I’ve been here. You’re pretty much that dream guild that everybody wants to be in. Haha. I really liked the idea of serious progression in abyss and now that it has come to a halt I haven’t been having near as much fun. I was so sure that by the end of the expansion we would at least see heroic LK, but that’s not going to happen now if I stay.

    * Have you ever applied here before? If so on what character(s):

No, I have not.

    * Do you have any references within the guild?:

I raided with Larnon for quite a while in abyss, Famyne use to run 10mans with us in Boomstick, and I’m pretty sure Windstrom was usually in our 25toc or icc pugs, one of those.  I think that is all.

    * Have you read our guild charter and policies?:

Indeed, I have.

    * We generally raid between 7:30-11:30 PM EST Sunday-Wed if there's enough content. Will you be able to keep a high attendance rate with these raid times?:

I usually go to church on Sunday nights, so that night will probably be a no most of the time.  The other three nights wouldn’t be an issue though.  School will be starting up in late August, and I do believe I have a class Wednesday night, but if I remember correctly it gets over with like 45 min to get home, so that shouldn’t be an issue either....  I also do probably need to get a job semi-soon, but I wouldn’t hold my breath for that, so we’ll see.

    * We use a loot council to determine where an upgrade is best put to use. Our goal is challenge and achievements - loot is merely the tool needed for these. Do you have an issue with this?

No, that sounds just fine to me.  I have always preferred loot council type loot systems.  In my opinion it is the only truly fair way.  I also really like that this guild is all about progression. I enjoy downing new fights and achievements all the same and dislike guilds that are all about loot.

    * Post your armory (remember to log out in the correct gear):

    * Given that armory doesn't always work, or show offset/unequipped items, please list any other gear you have that you feel is important to your desired raid role:

I really don’t have any gear that I switch in and out based on the fights. I just use the same things all the time.

    * Do you have a WWS, World of Logs or some other combat log of a recent raid?  We very rarely consider those without logs.:

Like the other applicants from abyss, I do not have a WWS log at this time.  I will see what I can do about getting one from Halion tonight or our heroic icc run tomorrow, but for the time being I have nothing to show.  Generally I’m pulling over 12k, depending on the fight and raid composition, which hasn’t been great lately so who knows.

    * Do you have Ventrilo and a mic? Can you be on Ventrilo in raids without lagging or D/Cing?:

Yes, I have a mic and vent, and they have not caused any noticeable lag, so I think it’s fine.

    * Is your internet connection/computer stable?:

I have had to leave raids on occasion due to lag, because I live in the middle of nowhere and have crazy internet.  Usually, I am running at 100-150ms and about 20 or so fps, which is fine for me, but occasionally I will get that random spike and DC. It is generally fixable and doesn’t happen all that often though.

    * Are you comfortable giving and taking constructive criticism? (IMPORTANT Note: Constructive does not involve the words Scrub, Noob or Fgt):

Yes, I certainly am. Please do tell me if I am doing terrible and need to step it up. Haha. Too often have I raided with players who refuse to take advice and listen and it’s just no good for the whole raid.

    * What is your favorite boss encounter? Why?

Well, I have only been playing since the start of WotLK, soo in that time I would have to say that my favorite fight of all has been 10 man Yogg +1.  I just remember it was the most complicated fight I had done and it felt like such an accomplishment when we finally downed it and received our drakes.

    * Tell us about yourself in a short paragraph. This should contain information about you IRL:

Well, let’s see… I just graduated a couple months ago and am going to community college for I have no idea what in a little over month. I don’t really do anything with my life. I have no job. I pretty much sit around on wow, hang out with my lady friend, go to church, mow the lawn, aaand that’s about it. I’m a super exciting person, as I’m sure you can already tell. : D

    * What else do you have to offer the guild?:

Well, I like to think that I’m a pretty good guy and all, not that I really talk on vent or anything haha. Umm, I know quite a bit about spriests, and I like to think I’m a pretty decent one. I am always reading up on shadowpriest.com about any sort of changes.  I can listen and follow direction and not be stupid and to what you need me to do, so that’s always a plus.

    * How did you hear about us?

I remember hearing about you from a friend after you split from… whatever guild that was… I’ve just been around since you guys were pretty much starting with the plaguechill tag, and it’s hard to play on Khadgar without ever hearing of you.
